The initiative was aimed at making Boadilla del Monte students more aware of the arrival of this transport mode and familiarizing them with the new light rail system.
The winner was given the prize, a video console, by Mr. Arturo González Panero, Boadilla del Monte’s Mayor; D. Carlos García-Faure, MLO General Manager; Ms. Mercedes Nofuentes Caballero, Boadilla City Council Education Councillor; and Ms Belén Húmera Contreras, Transport Councillor.
Students entered one drawing per class for the Metro Ligero Oeste mascot design competition.
The winning student and his classmates were also given a diploma and enjoyed a special ride on the new light rail line.

The competition was part of an intense information campaign by Metro Ligero Oeste aimed at drawing the citizens in the north-eastern zone closer this new transport mode, which will link the Pozuelo de Alarcón and Boadilla del Monte municipalities with the Madrid Region’s Metro network.
